Physics is the science of what makes things happen in the world. So, all sports fundamentally depend on the science of physics, or the biomechanics of human motion. At this website,
we will show lots of stuff about the physical science behind how to succeed in track and field.
At a time when so many athletes are taking illegal supplements to give themselves an added edge, we think that it’s time for the non-chemical branches of science to step forward to
give athletes an edge by knowing what makes their sport work. This website is dedicated to teaching athletes more about what works, why it works, and how to make it work. We want to
give you clues about how to get faster, stronger, and jump better through knowledge of science.
We also hope to give athletes a better understanding of how the world works by showing examples of physics that illustrate what they might have been learning in class. Are you
having trouble understanding mechanics in physics class? Then maybe the section on physics principles will help you understand it better!
Do you want to be a better athlete? Then the section on specific sports and events will show you some common-sense explanations, lots of good stuff, and a few secrets that have been
previously known only to Olympic coaches!
Do you have a story to tell about the topic on the page you’re reading? Do you agree or disagree? Can you think of something related that will help others? Then tell us all about it
in the forum following each article and thanks for helping to contribute to science and to sports!
Is there something that you’d really like us to address? Then please write what you’d like in the main blog following this page. We’ll get to it as quickly as possible!
